Simpson has shown he is comfortable with the ball at his feet and his distribution is top draw but I’ve yet to see that he is a dominant defender either in the air or on the ground. I much prefer central defenders like Stevenage pellegiani , or however his name is spelt. We would be o.k. If Happe is alongside either cooper, beckles or Simpson, but in my view any combination of the last 3 would be terrible. **Piergianni** He was an excellent signing at Stevenage and very much in the Evans style. Would have been happy with him at Orient. Nothing wrong with a strong, dominant, no-nonsense player at the back. Even if ball playing is not a strong point, you gotta want the ball first. Then give it to someone better able to pass or carry the ball forward. |

I’m surprised he hasn’t followed Evans ….yet It wouldn’t surprise me, maybe still under contract, I know they extended his original one about 12 months ago so another year to run probably. At 32 I doubt Evans would be willing to pay a fee. |

I do venture over there but not so much these days. It can be a difficult place to post on. But whilst I’ve always enjoyed a good argument and am thick skinned, giving as good as I get, it can get tedious. And if you argue with the mods a ban is possible , I’ve been banned more than once. I expect it to become very hostile with the election looming. But it’s active, generally interesting and offers a different side to posting. This place is better. |

I do venture over there but not so much these days. It can be a difficult place to post on. But whilst I’ve always enjoyed a good argument and am thick skinned, giving as good as I get, it can get tedious. And if you argue with the mods a ban is possible , I’ve been banned more than once. Left wing dominated and as you correctly say, argue with the wind up mods and a ban may follow. So childish when they changed your name to an insulting one. |
