IMO Howes is nowhere near the quality of gk we need he's a number 2 that's it for me.The importance of a really good gk should not be underestimated. Not many teams get promoted with average keepers for their league Not many teams will stay in that league without a decent keeper.

We don’t really know if Howes is a decent keeper. Given his lack of opportunities I assume those that know in the club assume not.

I guess the question is, do the club staff see him as a guy who could hold up week in, week out over 46 games? I suspect consistency might be an issue and that’s why I think the club will probably be looking elsewhere in order to fill the starting role.

The Arsenal kid is supposed to be really good. He certainly shows that in the Wrexham documentary. F he won keeper of the season, is good with his feet like the article suggests, is young with sell on potential, the. Surely he must be on lings ten man list for each position. I agree signing Arthur Okonkwo would be decent, a young keeper that has experience who would be a free transfer meaning we would finally have a permanent keeper. Although in saying this would Howes provide enough experience or should/would rw look for a more experienced keeper? We won’t be signing Okonkwo - he will be rejoining Wrexham on a permanent deal this time.👍

Anything on the grapevine about a possible goalkeeper signing. Also wondering what the scaffolding on the East Stand in the recent video was for.

Somebody put on that Portsmouth are outing 2 keepers, well the reserve keeper who played against us in the paint pot trophy or whatever it’s now called played a blinder and made numerous saves. Not sure if he was one of the released.

At home we rank 18th in goals from open play. Just 4 better than bottom placed Exeter. Interestingly away from home we are top 8. My lasting memory from games at Brisbane Road was of a team focussed on possession. Backwards, sideways passing followed by a hopeful long ball. I don’t think we gave our strikers much of a service for much of the time. We moan about Pigott but did he get that many chances? Of course keepers make decent saves, it’s their job. But I struggle to recall too many occasions when we really tested keepers.

I’d be happy with another season of Sol.

Sol had a butterfingers end to last season but unless we can somehow get vigs here Sol will do as our loan goalie.that would be 3 loans another 5 to find!

Men behind the ball?

I've said the same for some time. Teams come here, park the bus and often grab a goal due to an os error. Clearly shown in too many home defeats. We get more joy away due to teams coming forward and our strong away support.

The Slovenia keeper looks pretty good - can we bring him in maybe?
