No harm in the acknowledgement to the clubs sponsors.Very important revenue for the club whose directors work very hard to get these sponsors on board.

Yes but the corner flag brought to you by Papa John's is a joy to behold

I think I would be more loyal to the Brisbane Road name if all the stuff like supporters club bar, shop, ticket office were still there. Brisbane Road just serves as a useful address for away fans to Google, these days. As previously posted, the extra revenue for naming rights is very important to us.

If I was part of Gaughan or our marketing team, I'd be disappointed to see that people think like this and take the trouble to say so in public. Does it really need to be said?

Brisbane Road it is and always will be to me. Ask any football fan and they will say the same. Sponsors come and go, but tradition is permanent.

I don’t think they’d give a damn fisch..It’s just a personal thing for me I think it is for many of us. But I do wonder if the Gaughan Group pay money to promote their name. The Rose Bowl cricket stadium in Hampshire a typical case. Took years for the name Ageas Bowl to become the norm. Now the Utilita Bowl, people still call it the Ageas Bowl, including some media. So people calling our stadium Brisbane Road will never change fo many.

Ah Brisbane Road - 1960s - walking from Leyton Midland Road, 1s 3d to get in, standing on the open terraces in all weathers... nostalgia 😔

Ah Brisbane Road - 1960s - walking from Leyton Midland Road, 1s 3d to get in, standing on the open terraces in all weathers... nostalgia 😔 I miss cycling across Hackney Marshes and locking my bike against the long gone railings near the west. Getting in early with my mate Alex to get a spot against the wall around the pitch. Eagerly awaiting the appearance of the teams.

With a ladder and some glasses you can see the 'ackney marshes if it wasn't for the 'ouses in between. On you tube last week I saw a picture of the football games taking place on Hackney Marshes. It was quite old and must have been ariel photography as the high position showed the spectacular amount of games being played.
