Quote ''In recognition of the fact that fan partnership is critical to the Club’s success, there will be a fan representative on the Board '' Its 2024 now and did this ever happen and if so, who is the ''fan representative on the Board'' ?

No it never happened. Nigel was against such an idea and whilst back then I think the fans feelings was for the fan to have a say. I get it when you are putting in millions, you'd want to live or die by your decisions.
I was impressed with a person named Adam on LOFT who I felt would have been the perfect face of the fans. I think he's a lawyer, I could be wrong, but when he spoke he knew what he was speaking about and spoke with confidence. I'd have been happy if it had been him.
A fan on the board would still be a good idea. However, we can't say out directors don't speak to us or keep us informed. We arguably have the most open and transparent board in football so it's not so bad.
We have the best owners in my lifetime of supporting the club and Brian Winstone was chairman when I started.

I agree we have a great board who share information. No complaints from me at all. But that’s not the point. Boards in general are too far removed from the day-to-day views of the troops. Not a criticism, just the way it is. The odd chat doesn’t cut it. Not aware of many companies having such a board member, however having a consultative committee made up of staff or in this case supporters with a board member on this committee provides a direct link from staff/supporters to the board. It gives staff/supporters a voice via their board representative at board meetings. Putting it this way, rather than a fan on the board have a fans group with a board person as a member. it’s a system I have seen work well (and badly on occasions). Badly when such committees become a talking shop without positive outcomes. But can provide valuable feedback to the board on matters important to staff/fans that may not be what the board think they are. And provide feedback to the fans on things they care about. Real fan engagement.
