O's likely to use loan market heavily

Unless it's changed recently, we can loan up to 8 players but only 5 can be named in a matchday squad.

I'm sure we'll sign a few but doubt it'll be more than usual. We only need 3 or 4 first-team signings, which probably goes some way to explaining the lack of activity so far. If Ruel goes then I imagine we'll loan a striker.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was Ipswich, we've done a couple of deals with them and as they move to the Premier there will be players who are not at that level but would be superb in our league.

I’ve no doubt we will use loanees. Same as last season. But we need contracted players too. We have some decent players but remain at risk when considering injuries and suspensions. But Ling will do what he wants and when he wants. That said it would be absolute folly not to strengthen in time for preseason and Ling ain’t stupid. So contract signings will happen.
