Not just August but most of September. Seems the computer decided we had to play all the top teams first and the weaker ones at the end of the year.

Then a couple against newly promoted teams who will be really up for it. Tough.

We will have all our squad (hopefully) fit and will be able to pick our strongest team at the start of the season, so for me this is an excellent start for the O's. Some of the teams that have come down, also some that have come up will still be finding their feet after rebuilding over the summer, we already know what to expect and what this league is about.

My initial reaction was that we have really difficult start to the season with Bolton , Charlton , Birmigham, Wrexham and Stockport among them. promoted teams come up with the impetus of success, start off well then seem to drop off and it’s unfortunate that we are meeting both at an early stage. If we can emerge with a decent tally then I will be well pleased, what we don’t want is a start like last season.

Love it. Bigger the club we face, the more exciting it is for me. Bring it on.

Not necessarily, it’s about the luck of catching teams when they are off form.

There will be few, if any, easy games this season and whilst, on the face of it our opening three games are tough fixtures , the O’s did beat both Bolton and Charlton at home last season and only lost to both by the odd goal in the away fixtures. Birmingham are a bit of an unknown quantity but getting them early on might be helpful imho.

Blimey, our squad had better learn each others names..and quick If we're short we can always bring back McCormack.same age as pratley. Lots of crunching tackles v Bolton. They don't like it up em!!!
