I've heard a lot of talk about the need to bring in another striker but we are stronger in the forward positions this year with 3 players that can comfortably play in the 9 role, the signing of DJ and return of Graham will also help us out wide.
Sounds like the two full backs we have on trial at the moment have a real chance to earn a contract, also sounds like we have a GK in place.
The most important thing now is to concentrate all our efforts into replacing Idris with real quality, the news of a bid for CB-M fills me with confidence we are taking this seriously.

100% that things are being taken seriously, it must be a tough job to get the quality we need with the budget we have and in the face of the toughest competition imaginable. The real outcome is that our staff have to get more from less and do it all the time.

More with less is a reasonable comment, though as I understand it we have what is considered a mid-table budget so we are not alone fighting with such a dilemma. But for a club with our income that is always going to be the case. But the bottom line is we need a squad with depth so whilst I expect incoming as required by RW, it’s reasonable to feel the new players will be a combination of loans and modest quality players to support the quality already at the club. Anything better is a bonus. As for being tough! Of course it is. Tough for many clubs in our positron, we are not unique. Such is life in a competitive world. That’s why we have a hugely experienced DoF. |

Can we get one signing today? We need some news!! The real question is whether we recruit before we go to Spain thereby allowing Richie to have the preseason he wants. Already made a comment about DJ arriving a bit late. Or whether we continue to drip feed incoming. With Pigott rumoured to go that’s 3 in and 3 out and 5 pending. Standing still at best ignoring those who went at the end of the season. Realistically we haven’t strengthened. All our eggs are in the injured players being fit basket. My guess is that 3 will come in soon and another 2 later. But it will happen. Patience is very definitely needed. |

Had a feeling that we might have got one today Same here, I have a feeling this is going to be a very uncomfortable transfer window. I have faith the club will bring in the right players but we also need time to bed the squad in and that's a difficult balancing act. |

Thinking about this more,IF and it's a big if, we have signed two players then the media team are smart enough to announce them on the way up to Scotland.
Maybe our first stop off is Burnley or possibly Middlesbrough, followed by Carlisle.
Or maybe that's just the optimist in me
