I personally think we're in pretty good shape with the squad we have.Id much rather we wait and get the right players in instead of just signing the first player that becomes available to please some of our supporters.I think RW is pleased with the squad he's got and is happy enough with what the club is doing

We are therefore thin as a squad. Who says this? Richie Wellens and that’s good enough for me. Our squad is too thin for the forthcoming campaign. According to our manager! You think he is wrong? I don’t. Nor does our CEO who on Facebook mentioned we are busy looking at incomings. As for the right players? Sure there will be players who don’t fit, like Pigott. But in general we are not so specialist that many of available players won’t fit. This is spin. As a squad we are weaker than last season, reliant on Graham and Agyie being fit. That’s it. At the same time the league looks a whole lot tougher. Not a good combination. So expect incoming. It will happen. It has to happen. We have a decent squad but so does our competition. It doesn’t matter how good we are, what matters is being better than others. That is the point. Meaningless to say we have a decent squad if others have great squads. In a division on good teams 4 good teams will be relegated.

We don't know how great these players are that other teams have signed.Just because you sign loads of players doesn't mean they are any good.A lot of teams have signed older players on big wages who might just be looking for one last big pay day.I agree we need a few more players but they have to be the right ones who suit RW style and want to be here

But the same applies to us and those we sign. That’s always a risk. its not a reason to avoid bringing in players. No reason to believe other teams are any worse at judging a player than we are. But they get on with it. The time comes when you have to back your judgement and procrastination don’t change that. Stevenage last season were a prime example of the value of experienced players. Not old, but experienced, like Pratley. And why assume big wages? We don’t know that. Young players, like Ruel, also go for big wages. As for style, some won’t fit but many will. If our style is such that we only have a small pool of players to choose from, we need to think about our style.

It's not about style it's all about money. We have a small budget which has to be spent wisely, so player A might want to come but another club offers him more and he goes there. We are too slow, but I'm guessing with all the transfer activity happening and nothing for us, I'd say its down to finances.

Our owners are generous but there has to be a limit on spending. I’ve never expected more than players able to offer backup to the squad we have. Bar a couple of positions where we need better. Understandable to want to maximise the money available, I’m sure all businesses do that. Maximise ROI. For us that may mean waiting to see who is available after others have finished their business. Cannot see any other reason for us being so slow. If that’s the situation then fair enough. Do what we can with contingency for January. But players will come in
