I wasn't expecting for us to sign 15 this week but one would have done 🤣

I saw that on Facebook. George Ray too. That’s some rebuild going on. But 15. Bloody amateurs, not concerned about getting the right players for the club. So long as you have a pair of boots. But seriously that’s a busy time for them.

Morecambe are in a similar situation to us a few years back. It doesn't look too good for them. I assume that funding has just come through from somewhere.
Didn't we do a similar thing when we only had Mooney registered as a player in the National League, then Widdowson, then an avalanche of signings just to get a squad registered.

The Ling white board with few names and lots of Too Be signed initials.

May be difficult times for Morecambe but I wouldn’t write them off at this stage. They have got Derek Adams back in charge for the third time and he did a terrific job for them in the past.

From the BBC site: Of the 16 players to exit the Shrimps, 12 were not offered new terms, while four players rejected new deals.

That's the shrimps, any news of the shrimpers. Last I heard was that HMRC has failed in its court to recover allegedly unpaid arears but the deal between martin and prospective buyers has not been completed nor has the National league been paid the £!M "bond" it requires to include SUFC in the new season's fixtures. Most thought the club was on a cliff edge but it seems it still has a little room to move ever closer.
