Isted is apparently one of the goalkeepers that the O’s have made enquiries about recently. He is currently with Charlton Athletic. That’s all folks!😆☕️👍

Thought we might have got him this time last season but he went Charlton. Finished off season as first choice though. Would be a good get one year left on contract

Not good enough perhaps ! Maybe cos he thinks Nathan Jones is a bellend? His stats last season were roughly comparable to Brynn's but behind a worse defence. The much-needed experience probably makes him a slight upgrade.

Not good enough perhaps ! Ashley Maynard-Brewer just extended his contract, Will Mannion came in on a 3 year deal, could be that he’s been told he’s 3rd choice.

Great keeper but told he was signing for Barnsley last week.

Our keeper situation is getting serious unless the club has it in hand. Hope they do. The RW smile when talking last week gave reason to be optimistic. Howes it seems is not up to it. Ashby-Hammond didn’t get much chance to impress, ignoring his goal conceding mistake. Be interesting to see who plays Tuesday.
With the squad off to Spain this week I fully expect announcements, three probably. One a keeper before they go.

Based upon what I’ve heard, I get the impression the goalkeeping spot is proving to be a tricky one to resolve. Numerous candidates have been looked at but, so far, completing a deal has proven difficult. Time for Lingy to break out the 100% Arabica beans!☕️👍

Are we saying that Sam Howes is not up to it? He is 26, not a youngster, his parent clubs have been West Ham and Watford though he has been out on loan most of the time at non league clubs but has played loads of games and is experienced. He has also played 12 times for England from U16 up to the England C team. I haven’t seen him play as I now live in Spain but what is it that makes fellow boarders view him as not suitable as our main keeper ?

Don't think there was ever any doubt that he was brought in as a number 2. (And I personally didn't rate our number 1, although appreciate I'm in a minority). Had a shocker in his first game against Portsmouth. Not sure he could've done much about any of the 3 conceded in the next game against Wycombe and eventually gave a solid performance against Blackpool. Flapped at Shrews' consolation goal on the last game of the season too (although far from the only one at fault). For me the evidence suggests it would be a huge risk to rely on him to play consistently at this level.

The club has been awful in bringing in a new keeper, truly awful.
However if we have to go with Howes , for a few weeks, that's what we have to do. He's ok as a temporary number 1
