Us oldies will remember joe Elwood a really good Irish winger, who could also play as inside forward.
Sad to hear he has now passed away at 84.

Just read Joe became the PE teacher at Upton house school hackney in the 1980s
Wondered if anyone here had that jolly ulster pe teacher not knowing he was an ex 'o'

Joe was my PE teacher at Holy Family College (formerly Corpus Christi/Cardinal Wiseman) in Shernhall St in the early nineties and was a top bloke. V sad news. Factoid he once told me is that he was Orient’s first ever sub. RIP Mr Ellwood sir.
