Sunderland have just signed Browne from Preston to play alongside Bellingham, Sunderland were after Ethan last summer but he chose us as he would get more game time, not sure it makes sense for him to go there now.

Portsmouth are brutal when it comes to this, if you have a year left and haven't signed a new contract you are automatically transfer listed. Like I said I Love Ethan but I really don't want to lose him for nothing. |

On the sunderland site it says nothing
I do notice that a lot of their players are being targeted by other clubs for big fees.
Thatās how it all works now olayers show they are very good in their division and a bigger club moves in.

If Sunderland really are after him, as a result of losing one of their midfielders to a PL club, then Iād expect weād get Ā£500k minimum. Whether thatās a decent return for our investment in him I donāt know, but replacing him wonāt be easy. |

The key words are 'may' and 'awaiting confirmation '. Source is usually good, however I am surprised he played if the alleged deal had been completed. Others have heard the same as us, so we wait and see.

If correct, it might explain why our own transfer activity has been somewhat sluggish e.g DoF unsure of who he needs to replace and how much Ā£ he has in his back pocket to replace them with? |
