Let us hope the clubs judgement on this player is correct, many negative comments on the other forum based on comments by fans from his previous clubs As far as I can tell from the Latics' forum, he has a high ceiling, low floor, and wasn't settled there. Most seem happy to have got a fee for him. Versatile and has had a pretty up and down career by the looks of it. “ high ceiling, low floor” . Great terminology!😆😆👍 |

Doesn’t see out his contracts much. Beware his agent Same agent as Otis Khan. Dunno if that's good or bad, but I guess we've dealt with them before and were willing to do so again. |

But then pigott made lots of appearances for us so who knows Any new signing is a risk but he looks a decent risk to me. His physical presence, experience and age suggests to me this is a very good signing. Big for a full back/ wing back though. Going to be interesting to see how he copes with tricky wingers. Time will tell if he is good or bad but I like the idea of another tall defender, perhaps that might help at set pieces both ends.

Mick Jones was signed by Les Gore and played for Dick Graham, Jimmy and George Petchey. That's the mark of a good player. Peter Allen was signed by Dave Sexton and also played for all the above.
