If he'd been on a 3 year deal or a 2 with a option for a 3rd we've have got some wonga. But we didn't, and we don't do that. Oh well, must be a tactic to let the good players go for free. Hopefully both will sign contract extensions during the season 🤞 I hope so as they will be big players for us and should we sell them at some point we can reinvest the money back into the club and team. |

Love the idea though,a lot of comfort knowing your gooduns are on a long contract. |

We did get someone, (maybe Kyps), to sign an extension with a buyout clause in it, which ensured the club got some funds, whilst allowing the player to leave if a decent offer came in.
Hopefully a similar contract could be negotiated again.
