The sun today. “Goal ruled out by VAR 90 minutes after the game ended”. Morocco vs Argentina, the latter having an equaliser ruled out. Being a gullible mug I just had to read the story. Goal disallowed after the game ended! Really! Cannot be true! Can of worms!
Argentina “equalised” in added time, but crowd behaviour caused players being taken off, the ground emptied then the players came back to play out remaining time. Only then did the referee look at VAR and yes, the goal was off side and was ruled out 90 minutes after scoring. But the game had not ended therefore the headline was about sensationalism and not fact. Pizzed me off.
