A simple (well relatively) decorating job such as painting the bathroom ceiling, turned into the usual decorating experience when the light fitting was beyond use.Despite long and patient efforts to take it down,it just would not budge,so I exerted a bit of force and as a result part of the ceiling came down with it. Again a minor job became major works required to get back to "normal".Tomorrow we go in search of a suitable ceiling light.😂😂😂😂😂😂

Today we went to get a ceiling light for the bathroom, saw one that suited nicely and was approved by the Clerk of The Works. On arriving home we opened it up to see how it is affixed to the ceiling etc, only to find an important part of the lighting was missing. So tomorrow we will go back to the Store in Romford for a replacement light fitting with all hopefully intact Works on the project have been suspended until further notice, apologise for any delays. We are endeavouring to see that situations such as this do not reoccur. I can be contacted at the redshank dog house.

It's hopeless just knock it all down and start again That is what I am doing after exerting force on the previous light fitting. There is a hole in my ceiling cavernous to man. Notice a little of Kubla Khan there.A poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Went to Romford to exchange today, the assistant tore open another package and gave me the three bulb covers from that pack,People apparently break open the boxes and take what they want leaving the next buyer such as myself short.

I was in Selco the other day and as I turned the corner to go down the Isle I wanted I clocked what the man was doing, he knew I knew as well. He was nicking a internal door lock mechanism, I doubt it was £15 so he pretended to look and examine. I was at the till paying for my goods and he walked out with the lock in his hands as if it was the old one he walked in with.

After Reeves effort today is it worth being honest. It is of course,a bigger faith is required, but that has been severely mocked.

After Reeves effort today is it worth being honest. It is of course,a bigger faith is required, but that has been severely mocked. Funding big pay raises for public servants and getting much of the money to pay for it by taking money away from those who have been prudent enough to put money into modest private pensions. Same old Labour Party, some things never change. Look after the public sector workers and not the private sector workers. As to the big talk about stopping the boats of illegal immigrants, Cooper is all talk and that's about it. Costing the country a fortune in hotels, money hand outs etc and letting many dubious characters and dangerous criminals into the UK.

I started seriously saving and thinking pension plans at 30 aiming to retire at 55 max. Failed, it was 60. Being prudent is good, better retirement. To be recommended. Still a damn site better than just surviving on a state pension. The latest change is a real kick to those that do.

Am I to understand Ms Reeves is going to whittle a chink off my state pension? Doubt it. Unless your in receipt of winter fuel allowance and don’t receive benefits. Then it’s gone We await pension reform or whatever that is. More likely to hit tax relief on current pension contributions so a future issue for people when they retire but the Government getting you money now. Not too sure how it works these days. They will be creative for sure . Whatever they do it’s going cost more.

I fear for those currently saving in a pension plan. Both my daughter and son-in-law despite being way off retirement and putting money aside for their future so they can enjoy their latter years. And maybe benefit when Mrs doh and I are no longer. Labour I fear will money grab now with little regard for their future. people will soon learn what Labour are really like. No point in being prudent, working hard, saving, being sensible. May as well spend what you have, go broke, then get the state (taxpayers) to fund everything. My son now live in Aus but paid his dues for many years in the UK, and then some. Hope he won’t be shafted when his pension is due.
