I know it’s tough, but I can’t see any club looking at the fixture with us and thinking that’s an easy 3 pts. They know we can play and that we’ll be well organised, so whilst some less knowledgeable fans of other clubs might be saying ‘Leyton who’, Managers in this league will show us plenty of respect.

There are no easy games in league 1, still have nightmares about Fleetwood last season. So every manager will treat every opponent with respect. Most teams will be well organised and most teams will have decent managers with experience at our level. And most teams have been busy strengthening for the forthcoming season.
Don’t matter how good we think we are, it’s how we compare to others. Said it before, in a league of good teams, 4 good teams will be relegated.
I’m not convinced we have sufficient depth to cope with injuries, they will happen, and suspensions, they will happen and players loss of form which will happen. But much of this squad played last season and that is a big plus and other sides will have their share of injuries etc.
So a modest season in the league will be a success. Playoffs a miracle, relegation unthinkable. Going to be interesting. And a bloody sight more interesting than league 2 or the NL. This is what the club have been working towards. This is what us fans wanted. So let’s enjoy the roller coaster.

Indeed a strong league Expect like last season teams will come here park the bus and wait to grab a winner through our error. Hope we've learnt from last season at home

It will almost certainly be a genuine challenge throughout I would suspect. We can only hope that as in 2014 we have a relatively injury free campaign and then we might do ok. Sadly, the early Archibald/ Graham situation doesn’t bode well😕

It is wonderful that we are looking to consolidate in such a league as this. It is a league of excellent footballers, managers and big clubs. With the likes of Birmingham, Barnsley, Bolton, Rotherham, Charlton, etc it's going to be pressure every match.
If we compete in the vast amount of matches, which we can, then the game quality is going to be good for our hard-earned money. Most of us want to be punching just a little bit above our weight.
I bet Orient fans are looking forward to this season more than the Birmingham City fans.

Richie is right in that this is what we wanted.
We want the likes of Bolton, Birmingham, etc turning up.
I think it'll be hard. I think we'll do well to finish above 14th, but it isn't impossible.

Can’t be that hard. If any of these teams were that good, they would be in a higher division. Orient will hold their own and probably a bit more. Wasn’t as if anyone except me expected Os to be champions in 2023 ;-)

I make Mayland right. Can't see us scoring two or more much. Grab a goal and protect even at home. Mind you we won promotion doing just that very often

Being a manager in this division will also be tough. With the pressure on, the toll will be heavy.

Sadly, the early Archibald/ Graham situation doesn’t bode well😕 We do have cover for those players, not as good perhaps, but when they get match fit we will be better placed with them. Pleased when he said Jordan Graham will play some part of the games as a sub first of all building up to a full game.Sadly it will not be the first game.

We will certainly be better placed when Graham and Archibald are match fit but that is probably going to be a month away for the former and possibly 4 months away in Theo’s case. Who can tell if we will get lucky this season with injuries - certainly we have more than our fair share in the recent past. The fitness and availability of players in our compact squad could be critical imho. A couple of long term injuries would hurt us more than many other clubs in L1 unless of course we can bring in a couple of additional players before the end of August to add depth or the young lads like Pegrum,Oberio or Bullas can make the step up quicker than anticipated.
