There seems to be quite a bit of negativity floating about on the “ other” board about potential new arrangements being suggested by the LOFC owners to increase revenue from the Supporters Club bar in the West Stand. I’m unclear from what I’ve read as to what the issues actually are, can anyone enlighten me what the problem is ( if indeed there is one)?🤔

The club has tried to take over the supporters club. They were denied however, the club will use the space when the supporters club are not using it. I am not sure how the supporters Club will be able to determine what stock was their's to pay for and what wasn't. We donated £50k to the club and I suspect they see cheap prices, they see they can get more money out of that space and want to control it. The new brewers will have their products in there which is the start of what's coming. The independence has just been weakened a little.
My dad helped to build the original supporters club and I was there the day it opened.
I fear this is the beginning of the end now for the independence of the supporters club as it has stood since the late 70's.
I got my letter today and Dave Dodds is a man of absolute integrity and I will back him 1000% and any moves by the club in my opinion needs to be rejected.

What does David Dodds have to say about the situation then?

If anyone from LOSC (Timmo maybe?) can pop on here and let us have the official word that'd be handy.
I haven't received a letter but my membership may have lapsed.
Have great faith in LOSC and David Dodd to do the right thing.

What does David Dodds have to say about the situation then? He was not a happy bunny . His comments on the situation was succinctly to the point and obviously upset with the new arrangements .

I hope it’s just a temporary falling out between friends. Never a good idea to alienate your own supporters.😳

From the letter I got, I don’t think they’ve fallen out as such, what I do see is the club ramping up the pressure on the committee to acquiesce to their way. Maybe they had to give way on utilising the space when it wasn’t being used as LOFC still own it. It reads to me that they were placed in an unenvious position and were forced to cede ground.
I will certainly be backing and fighting for the rights to LOSC to exist and I trust that the committee and our fellow supporters feel the same way too.
It’s seems like a money grab to me.
