Notice almost all the great names were workhorses.
They had to be on our very heavy pitch.
Remember Eddie McCready the Chelsea manager was thrown out of our boardroom for saying "we've just lost 3-1 to a bunch of carthorses" back in 1975!

I just looked up that result and amazingly in season 1975-76 Os beat Chelsea at home 3-1 and also beat them away at Stamford Bridge 2-0 !!

Notice almost all the great names were workhorses. I disagree with that characterisation if you are implying they were plodders! All hard workers on the pitch but there was a great deal of talent there too. |

Yes indeed.
Workhorses and plodders two different categories
When our pitch was firm is beginning and end of season,said players showed their skills.
In winter on our heavy pitch,they were picked by petchey to do a job ie workhorse
Through the mud.
Had we had a decent pitch we could have played our passing game.notice how our away stats beat our home for obvious reasons

Jordan is a player I like and he deserves this. Just a little nagging worry that it signals that they have given up on an El Miz replacement and reassigned the money to get Jordan tied down. Time will tell whether that's the right decision.
