a real rough diamond find by the scouts, marked improvement each year he can definitely go higher so we may as well start making money out of our model and sell high when we can

Brown is one of the most underrated players we have nobody hardly ever mentions him but imo he's one of our most important players he's very rarely injured always 7/10 in every game never stops running and scores the odd important goal.Very pleased he's signed and i feel this season is a big one for him as he'll be the glue that holds our midfield together

This is a great signing!
But why not give the geezer a 3 year deal, he's worth it under any examination of his ability. He will play in the championship hopefully with us.

Similar to the late, great Peter Allen in that respect. l thought that too. However, like Allen, JB will be a solid O but will never be highly valued on the transfer market.

Peter Allen, wow they are big boots to fill indeed ! Peter is one of my all time Leyton Orient Greats and I read somewhere that apparently he could have moved to Everton but preferred to stop at the Os, if true then wonder why, perhaps he did not fancy a move up North ?

He was going through law school and saw his life after football as a solicitor -which he achieved.

Yes peter sure loved the O's Turned down Everton and deferred uni. I admired him even though he told me off when I was getting the players autographs as a kid!

Surely he could have still done his law school studies even if he had transferred to Everton ? l don't know the circumstances, perhaps swapping law schools was not an option back then. I recall an interview he did shortly after he quit practicing law where he said he had opportunities in football but they came at the wrong time for his legal career.

Sure Peter would have done very well in a top Division One team, perhaps more to his liking than Everton could have been a top London team of that era like the Arsenal or Spurs ? Arsenal having Peter Allen as a midfield enforcer instead of Peter Storey would have been a good fit !

Den, as we have commented before , the quality and strength in depth of the O’s midfield back in the 70’s was - by today’s standards , incredible. Allen, Bennett, Brisley, Dyson, Grealish, Heppolette, Walley etc - all terrific players.
