We’ve now had 10 minutes of the 5 added on. And I’ve got sound. Came right out and went back in, just in time to see the second goal. Fairly simple game. 2 shots on target, 2 goals. Definitely a step up from league 2.
The stats suggests an even game but it’s not. Hemming has dealt (well) with two crosses but that’s it.
Nothing spectacular but we don’t need to be, Newport look very average at best. We look competent without being special. Dan A looks a handful, DJ tricky. Sweeney working hard and Clare just looks like a been there done it sort of professional.
We give away far too many free kicks. But that’s the only criticism. Always easier to enjoy a game when you go a goal up in the first minute.

I've been watching on sky but I'm used to the Orient love that Dave and Matt provide, so synchronising Orient commentary with Sky pictures has been a pain. Mainly because the Orient commentary drops out.
Feels like I'm paying more but getting less tbh.
I listened to Dave, prior to Matt joining him, and I wasn't impressed but the two of them together is ideal imo.
The Girl on Sky is OK but it's a bit say what you see and not much else, which is understandable as she doesn't watch the O's every week.

Very comfortable tonight. Not sure how much RW will be able to learn from this but at least we’ll be in with chance of bit of a cup run.👍 Hemming, just not good enough? |

Newport have a spring in their step after that goal. Was comfortable now we just need to run down the clock. I’m really trying hard not to be critical of that goal.

I've literally sat down to watch what is left of the game to see our keeper flapping around like he's trying to fly. Ain't see that move in any keepers manual.
He should have saved that. Poor Once more for the goal, not seen anything else of the match so can't comment, but on that i can and as they say at school "could do better"

Yes bit of a dilemma for RW. As you say, only two games in but if Hemming continues to make blatant errors then action will need to be taken.. |

I'm pleased the fans in attendance encouraged Hemming early on, with pretty standard goalkeeping.
He can't blame his errors on boo boys.

We can only hope that Hemming doesn’t lose confidence as a result of these early errors. He can still come good - it’s only two games in , but it does present Wellens with an unexpected and unwanted issue I would think.
