Thought we did ok in that half, errors apart. After the first we could have lost confidence but we didnt seem to. We can get back in this match. Its not over.

I lost sight of the keeper for the 2nd goal was he at fault? As when I picked him up again the forward was round him. Can someone tell me what happened please? Not his fault, Cooper miscontrolled and it broke to May. We’ve matched them, closed down well, but you can see confidence draining out of the team. Could end up 4 or 5-1 if we tire. Tough for Cooper to control that, not given too much chance. Birmingham have been poor, us a little poorer. Pundit Half time description mildly chaotic. Good description.

I think this squad, barring Miz, is a noticeable improvement on last year's team. Possibly the best team since... hmm... 2013/14 squad. We're a certain two players light in the squad but I feel we'll do well this season if we keep fit. The goalie is a real concern for me and it's such a vital position. Seriously? I’d also add that there’s not one player in this team that gets in the matchday squad of the 2013/14 squad.

An enthusiastic view of us vs last season but that’s fair enough, we all see things differently. In the midfield we seem noticeably weaker to me. Birmingham playing out from the back is very poor, giving us chances with our press.

Can’t fault the effort in the second half. Bit more luck and we could be level. Encouraging.

FFS we are losing as usual. Cant give two goals away to a team like Birmingham and expect to win. Self inflicted to be honest. But a decent effort in the second after a first half of huff and puff but not a massive lot of anything else. Better of the chances in the second.

We seem to be making a lot of mistakes already...Last minute goal in one match and early goal in this match hasn't helped.

I think as you said before dohnut , we are being beaten by teams that do not look anything special, which is quite worrying. Confidence is at a low ebb at the moment . Next Saturday at Shrewsbury we need to get off the mark points wise.

Never expected any points from the first 3 matches but I don't think that's a cause for concern - only lost by 1 goal in each.

The problem with always going on about a hard start is that once the apparently easier games come along, the expectations and pressures mount. I’m not convinced that the ‘easier’ games are anything of the sort and a loss against Shrewsbury will be a real kick.

Except that none of the so called best teams have looked particularly good. I include Birmingham in that and to me overall they simply looked OK but nothing special. Yet we lost to all of them. Losing by 1 goal = 0 points. The next league game is against one of the less fancied teams. We need to start picking up points.

I wonder if RW will have the option of selecting Graham or Simpson? Seems doubtful that the much hoped for “ exciting” signings are likely to materialise in the next 6 days to bail us out!😕

A loss against Shrewsbury and that will put an end to all this difficult start stuff. We just got to get something out of that game. we have played 3 teams with great potential but their performances against us have shown they too have some way to go to reach the levels capable of. None of them have looked special right now. Yet all three have beaten us. We can moan about keeper errors but they are part of the game like strikers missing chances. We certainly could have done better with a couple of ours, they too cost us as much as Hemming. still onwards and upwards. It’s the only way we can go.

Clearly a s***e start to this season results wise, but I don't fear our ability for this league provided we can solve our keeper worries. Last season's start was horrid but I've seen enough to feel we'll do well. So many new additions that need to gel, and Theo/Graham to return. I expect us to get the points against Shrewsbury.

Brown was under pressure and hit a back pass to Hemming but hit Cooper on the shins (who was only a couple of feet away) and the ball bounced into the path of Alfie May. Nobody really to blame, it came from a very intense press from Birmingham. Thanks for clarification, only had view from South Stand.

Thought our press was good and effort brilliant. Goals given away, rather than Birmingham cutting us open, so some positives from a disappointing result.
