Lots of comments about young squad etc, yet Pratley Has played a handful of minutes thus far. He has the maturity and experience to offer significant on-field support. Why is he not playing?

Lots of comments about young squad etc, yet Pratley Has played a handful of minutes thus far. He has the maturity and experience to offer significant on-field support. Why is he not playing? If and when we get in a position to close out or “ manage “ a game then that’s when I would think Pratley would be used by RW. He’s not going to offer a great deal if you’re trying to win or rescue a game. I know this is an unpopular view but I’ll stick by what I said previously, imho giving Pratley an extra year was a mistake - especially in light of the budget restrictions under which the club seems to be operating. |

He’s not going to offer a great deal if you’re trying to win or rescue a game. I thought he would be a cert to start v Birmingham with us at least hoping to avoid defeat,,,and start the season afresh next week.
Hope he's taking his coaching badges this season,it would be wise if he's largely inactive teamwise

If ever you need a "Sargeant Major" now is the time for him to bolster the midfield put his presence and stamp on a game. |

Pratley is a solid player. A no nonsense, experienced, leader. He got one more year. Fair enough. But only if he plays. So when I listen to all this young team on the park stuff I get a little frustrated. Because we have these kids by choice. That being the case let’s stop complaining about it. Moncur gone, Pratley don’t play, James left out. So let’s moan about the average age and our lack of experience.
We’ve made our bed. Let’s just get on with it. If we believe the young players are good enough to bring in/bring on from the academy and play, great, trust judgements made. When it don’t work, don’t moan.

Didn't look like winning it and a point away against a promotion favourite would've been an excellent result. Pratley was on the bench but never came on. |
