Still time. 14 hours to go. Going to be lots of activity up and down the country. I enjoy this time of year, good fun and interesting. If signings are coming in Ling will already be sorting the formalities. But who really knows. What will be, will be. Richie may have to make do with what he has, rather than what he wanted.
Surprised Shaq Forde not figuring somewhere. Late deal with us? That would be nice. Not holding my breath.

Birmingham have bid £10m for Fulham striker Jay Stansfield. Unreal, would be a league record transfer fee.
It's total madness if it happens.

Wrexham have just bought a young 21 year old who has only played in L2 for £500,000, half a million is silly money ! How can we competed with this ridiculous level of available funds from wealthy filmstar owners and paying way over the odds for players. There has to be rules to ensure fairness in this league where most teams are at such a disadvantage. www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5y56g33v0ko

What ever system is introduced, it will favour some over others. Why should a growing club like Wrexham be penalised because they don’t yet attract 30,000 like Birmingham. But want to get there in time, or as close as catchment area allows. Is it right to have a system that makes their goals even harder, compared to the bigger clubs. Of course controls to protect the existence of the club. But if the owners want to splash the cash to achieve their dream, why not. would I want us to be able to splash £500k on a player? Absolutely. RW too no doubt

RW too no doubt 2nd to last paragraph, I can't even believe you've written that. It's that splashing of cash which a club doesn't have is what causes clubs to get into financial jepody and your happy for that continue. Our club got into trouble as the owner was doing what you've said is OK and splashed the case. I know you liked and supported him, but as soon as the fans turned on him he picked up his ball and went home. That action nearly killed our club. So I find it difficult to understand why you think it's OK to splash the cash when the club can't cash the cheques it's writing.

Tricky situation. What ever system is introduced, it will favour some over others. Why should a growing club like Wrexham be penalised because they don’t yet attract 30,000 like Birmingham. So I find it difficult to understand why you think it's OK to splash the cash when the club can't cash the cheques it's writing. Splashing the cash is not the issue. It’s uncontrolled splashing the cash that becomes the problem. Controls to protect the club’s existence is the key. Id argue that our owners are splashing the cash to the tune of £3/£4 million a year. Not chicken feed, keeping us alive.

It not madness if they can afford it and the move comes off and helps fulfil Birmingham’s obvious ambition to return to the Championship next season.

Compared to the big 6, Birmingham could be described as little Birmingham City.
