I’ve just read that following the postponement of the Peterborough game , there is a grand total of four Saturday home matches between now and Christmas! And that apparently may also be reduced to three due to the Huddersfield potentially being called off as well! Glad I didn’t buy a season ticket!🤔

I will bear it if the money helps the O's,but like so many I looked forward to the old normal fortnightly matchday at Brisbane Road.I just love the experience of it. What have they done to our game Ma,what have they done to our game.(with acknowledgement to Melanie)

My next Saturday 3pm home game is Blackpool in November. Likewise, glad I didn't get a season ticket.

Is the Stags game likely to come a cropper as well?

Yes, Mansfield is an international weekend with England playing Ireland at Wembley on the Sunday.

There will be a few Saturday 12:30pm games at Brisbane Road. The Saturday 3pm blackout doesn’t make much sense. I don’t believe it impacts attendances. If you want to watch the 12:30pm or 5:30pm games then you wouldn’t be able to get to a ground for 3pm and leave early enough to watch the TV games. Well, unless you live very local to the ground like me.

We have to take the TV money, therefore they in some way are our masters.I have Sky and TNT and will always have a season ticket at Orient and attend what games I can,at least 17-20 games a season plus any cup games I would like to attend.

No season ticket for me this time round but nothing to do with Sky. Though the schedule changes make the decision even better.
Being honest, I’ve invested in NowTV for a month and thoroughly enjoy it. A couple of Orient games plus many more. Test match cricket, golf, motor racing. All for less than I spent on travel to Brisbane Road.

Believe me dohnut, you will really miss being there, one of the reasons I trash my body on match days.TV does not compare at all and shows only part of what is going on especially those annoying long time close ups when the wider picture tells the story.

Well Nigel is pleased with the Sky deal. I’m pleased for him.
I won’t be making Tues night games and I’m sure many other won’t either. So no beer, no pie and mash, nothing from the shop no money from me. Trust me I spend a s*** load every home game.
So Nigel, I’m pleased you like the Sky deal, I don’t and I won’t be there to spend my money at the club.

I will be going this Tuesday with son and brother in law, and if the Arsenal coach turns up late, Nigel will be really pleased 😂. We must have spent about £50 when Chelsea were late despite turning up at 6:55pm for a 7pm kick off. The problem I have turning up on a wet, cold, windy Tuesday is paying £30 for a rearranged category A game. Last season, the midweek games were £10 like the rearranged Os v Lincoln game. And given there will be UEFA games on TV at the same time, I will probably just stay at home. As an aside, there are festivals, like South Facing at Crystal Palace who sell tickets at a discount if you turn up early. The idea is that you are captive and will buy food and drink to compensate for the early entry and it helps with queues. And for me it works, because I do buy food and drinks and I want to see the support acts. Also Arsenal have beer offers to get people in earlier. Which again works for me, as I generally turf up early.

Nothing like being there. Same for Cricket, lords almost empty day 4, those that went got good value, really wish I did, irritated that I didn’t give it a thought. Stupid. I’ll get to some games this season.

Time will tell but my guess is that overall the club won’t make much money out of it. NowTV on the other hand will profit no doubt. I’ve started using because of the deal and actually like it. Bet I’m not alone. Not the same as going for sure as redshank points out, but a sight more convenient and cheaper by miles. For less money I get so much more sport. Couple of cans of Guinness 0.0, snacks, comfortable arm chair. Could get used to it. Being Cyprus based!!! £10 for the stream for non Sky games. The bonus being like Saturday after a while I switched off and watched the cricket instead. Could only take so much of that.

A good article in the DT about the fourth day ticket sales,at Lord's the prices are more than up North,A ticket for yesterday cost £95 for an improving Sri Lanka,if it was £40-50 there would have been a bigger take up.A lovely day at Lord's yesterday and a good watch for the small crowd,The ECB never seem to be covering themselves in glory.

Problem is that plenty of people had already paid full price for 4th day, so had they sold tickets at £40 on the day, there would have been uproar. And gate price from 3:45pm was £15 for adults and £5 for children. Though you would just have to happen to be waiting outside to take advantage of that.
