Hi everyone, We caught up with Orient legend Dean Cox in a special standalone interview and found out more about how his Orient career came to an end. You can hear his passion and enthusiasm for the club hasn’t diminished and he’s clearly upset about how it all ended under the previous owners. It’s now available to download on iTunes, www.soundcloud.com/orient-outlook, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn and Android Apps. Up the O’s

I’ve not listened to it yet, I will put it on tomorrow as I work. Dean should be upset he was treated abysmally by he who shall not be named. Disgraceful behaviour by the club at that time.

Really good episode.
You can still hear the devastation that moment in time caused him. I am sure it was a massive contributing factor to Coxy never getting back to what he was capable of. To be treated like that is terrible and plenty of people up and down the country go through such situations with the perpetrator hiding behind an NDA and threats to not pay you unless you sign. This should be looked at by government and the abuse stopped, cos it is an abuse of power.
Hopefully, he will get back in the game, as if he has the same drive and passion he had as a player and inject that as a coach or manager then I am sure he will do well. Maybe an avenue for him is to become involved in the youth section at a club away from the bright lights, learn your trade and then move in to higher positions in a club ready and prepared for the challenge ahead.
I wish him well, he will always be one of my favourite Orient players. Good memories for me to last a lifetime.

‘You can’t put a price on happiness’, lovely quote from Dean and sums up why he stayed with us as long as he did. Top player, it was a privilege to have him play for us.
