While having a look at Boreham Woods current squad I was interested in a former player that according to sources was on 3,100 per week when BW were in the National League in 2021. He was Justin Shaibu Danish international 26 years old. Moved about a bit Brentford, Walsall, Dover. Things have taken a down turn for him according to TransferMkt and is without club at present.

A lesson to all clubs,do not overspend.b Jimmy Hill has a lot to answer for.. Don't forget George Eastham role in the removal of maximum wage of players. Great player imo but I wonder if even he expected his strike action would lead to players dictating terms as they do now. |

Yes think it was the great Brian Winston who said it.Remember when you got a miniature bottle of whiskey as a season ticket holder on boxing day.Brian owned the duty free shops at airports I believe.Used to give mine to my friend who loved a drink,I never did and still dislike it except for a hot days lager. |
