I was thinking the same Thor Ordinarily yes, but what would the underwriter say when a player who has no ACL gets an offer for players' contract as a footballer. Who would take that risk? Wonder did the club even know he had no acl when they signed him and also wonder if the other knee also has the same problem ?

Ordinarily yes, but what would the underwriter say when a player who has no ACL gets an offer for players' contract as a footballer. Who would take that risk? My son asked me the other day, how was he able to play without one? I personally don’t know how he did it that’s for sure. I did read back when Richie first said it that Rugby players can exist without one as they primarily run in straight lines, with little twisting and turning. They compensate by building up the muscles around the knee. Have you seen a Rugby players legs compared to a footballer? So I’m still confused how he managed to play, his legs are not big. Plus he’s a big twister and turner. What I do know is that we miss him massively. My knees were very strong before I did my right knee ACL in around 1969 but despite much exercise and physio, my right knee kept coming out of joint after the injury when ever I tried to play football, and in those days there were none of the modern operations to repair the joint that are available today.

According to Twitter Archibald himself apparently said yesterday that the hopes to be back soon! Not sure how that squares with the “ out for months “ comments that RW made at the Meet The Manager night on Monday and backed up on the Orient Outlook podcast a couple of days later? Certainly seems communication at the club leaves something to be desired . Strange indeed ?

If we got relegated there are many reasons and extending Theo’s contract to enable him to rehabilitate himself will NOT be one of them I believe in loyalty and when orient try and sign players in competition to other clubs the way a club treats its players will have immense positive attraction I recall an ex orient player who I believe was our previous left back Joe Widdowson said in an interview he broke a leg and was left to make his way home on his own from the midlands - I think the club was Barnet Good will goes a long way in life - he got a family member to assist him! Barnet did not help him to rehabilitate Sounds rather unbelievable for even a small club like Barnet to do that ?
All I could find on Wikipedia is that he had a serious injury eg ''Barnet Widdowson signed a two-year contract with Barnet in July 2021.[22] He scored three times in ten games for the Bees. After opening the scoring away at Stockport County in October 2021, he was stretchered off after a foul by Macauley Southam-Hales that saw the latter sent off. Widdowson spent the rest of the season out injured and departed the Bees following the conclusion of the season. Then found this which refers to the injury ''@barnetfc Joe Widdowson suffered a serious knee injury and was treated by medics from both teams tonight. He has been taken to hospital by ambulance and we await further news. We would like to thank the Stockport County staff for all their assistance.

Certainly seems communication at the club leaves something to be desired . Strange indeed ? The last comments I believe were waiting for the results of an MRI scan. Maybe those results have since come out and prove his relapse was not as bad as first feared. Poor communication or an evolving situation? I hope it’s the latter and he will be back sooner. No conspiracy theories going on.

I appreciate players who always give 100% regardless of their skill levels and Theo not only fits that requirement but is also a very good player. As others have said he is a massive miss and I hope he makes a complete recovery, not just for the team but for his future.

He said there was a mix up 🤷♂️ With whom? He didn’t name names, so I’d be guessing if it was at the medical end of things or an internal mix up. Whatever it was, it’s embarrassing for the club, but sounds like good news for Theo.

The various powers that be at orient constantly quote different to each other. There's been a polarity that cannot help on and off the pitch. Hope Theo does return soon. He's our modern day Ralph Coates with his great attitude.

Good job he does not have Ralph Coates hair style He was on his way until his transplant 😁 I had a season ticket in the Coates time - his hair was like Bobby Charlton flowing with a side parting and bald on most of it

Barnet did not help him to rehabilitate I would offer him a new contract in a heartbeat, a player who gave his all to the club, and I believe a greatly loved player, that we miss badly. Ps that new goalie is the business, I sit in the southstand in line with the goal, don't think he put a foot wrong all night, inspired confidence in me within 5 minutes whole team responded,. Sorry Hemmings your history, I would sign Keeley as our first team goalie tomorrow. Good to see your post eca.

Good job he does not have Ralph Coates hair style Not nice Ralph Coates did not ask to lose his hair. Icouldnt care less about hair styles or hair loss.If we had Ralph Coates playing today with Pratts we would be mid table at least. Great player for the O's was Ralph.
