Now I didn't see the game, but I hear these words every week.
"We had enough chances to be 2 or 3 up"
We didn't score as our strikers are not good enough. Kelman is maybe league 2 standard, how he continues to start as our main man is beyond me. We've needed a striker since Bonne left, and we still need that player and yet time and again it's not been addressed.

I tend to ignore the we should have been x goals up comments. We generally have fewer shots than his goal expectations. Thats just fodder for the board.
Kelman is not a league 1 quality striker yet. Hasn’t really improved since he was here last time. We wait and hope. Agyei is in my opinion, I like him (incoming wrath from Denisrofe expected). But I don’t see that as the real problem. Under Jackett we had Smith and Drinan both in the top 10 strikers list till Christmas. Yet neither thrived under the RW system. Pigott was a fish out of water. Kelman and Agyie, Billy no mates most of the time. Harry Kane wouldn’t score if we had him up front. That is the problem.
Interesting question to RW about having two up front! He said we play 3 strikers, of course we don’t. Well not in strikers positions.
As much as I don’t rate Kelman, other than his ability to run around a lot, we don’t create enough decent chances for them. Even the better strikers need 3 chances per goal. We just don’t create enough decent chances and Kelman needs lots of decent chances in order to score.

You have to count how many players are well out of form who supply the crosses. It will return, starting on Tuesday.Desperation has led to our harsh criticism.

If Evans gets one over on us (again) the sparks will fly. As for so many out of form players! The excuses just keep on coming all the way to league 2.

Why would that be ? I have rarely to ever voiced any criticism of Dan Agyei. The players I have mentioned to you are two who came to this club with long records of injury ( not the players fault of course ) and who you made comments voicing your very high expectations of, eg early this season you thought that the injury prone Jordan Graham would be really amazing this season and would in fact have more impact than Paul Smyth did on his promotion season with Os when he was the top scorer and these judgements came after Graham's one good pre-season game against Hearts that Graham played in, which was when he received the long term injury which ruled him out for such a long time. Of course you also had very high expectations of midfielder Callum Reilly, another injury prone player we signed who despite long treatment, never got over his groin injury thus barely featured at all. You are a good man who is a great and dedicated Os supporter but you do get somewhat carried away with your high expectations of what players might achieve, especially when coming back from long term injurys ! Remember, one swallow doesn't make a summer !

Just put Ritchie’s weekly interviews on repeat cos they’re all the same.. May be a good idea to let his coaching team do a few slots. I’m sure they are more than capable. What about a post match interview with one of the senior players, now that I would find interesting. A tactful different perspective. DD is smart enough not to ask incendiary questions or those that cause embarrassment.

I'm wondering how much Matt Harold is missed? Something many of us are wondering too. Perhaps his quality was recognised up the pyramid.

I think you’re being naïve if you think the players would say anything different to what they are told to say. Maybe. Maybe not. Why I talked of tact and careful questioning. But I give senior players credit for being able to talk about a game in a correct and respectful way. I do believe in people having a mind of their own, with due respect for tact and diplomacy. It’s not an uncommon situation in many walks of business where trust exists. I have, as a manager, allowed my staff to talk at meetings and represent the team. Why is it a big deal if you trust them? People ain’t stupid.

If the coaching staff “ do a few slots” then RW will no doubt be criticised by some for ducking the issue and putting up others to take the flak. I remember some doing the same when Joe Gallen did a few interviews in place of Kenny Jackett.
