If they paid up his contract, money might not be an immediate concern for him, but getting himself back in the shop window should be.
Whether he’d have more exposure playing week in week out with us, or a bit part at Leeds, could sway his thinking.

He's a winger. Why do we need a winger when (a) Richie's system doesn't use wingers and (b) we have no big lump centre-forwards? For me that’s one of the big issues this season. We have no wingers fit except O’Neil and it’s not advisable to play with one winger unless your name is russell Slade with his lop sided setup! If Theo, Graham and O’Neil were all fit I would like to think we would have the system in place we used last season to good effect. The big loss is Idris, so far he’s proven irreplaceable. |
