We dare not lose on Sunday The volcano will well and truly erupt Sadly it won’t be a surprise if we do We are not going to lose on Sunday. Will be lots of huff and puff and muscle from BW but in the end it will be a routine and decent win. Our only concern is injuries.

We dare not lose on Sunday The volcano will well and truly erupt Sadly it won’t be a surprise if we do Tbh I will be surprised if we lose ( or fail to progress in the event of penalties). RW should be able to be put out a team of players that is capable of winning the match decisively. My main concern would be that he does - as his post game interview @ Wycombe suggested - pick the team “ based on training”. I really think he should go with experience on this occasion. I’m not a huge fan of starting Pratley but in this case I would opt for him and the likes of Ball, Beckles, Clare ( if fit) James and even Jayasiemi. I would guess some of Boreham Wood’s “ old stagers” would be licking their lips at the prospect of getting stuck in to some of our younger players and putting them off their game and that to me would be their biggest chance of causing an upset. Certainly not being in the draw for the second round will be a bit of a hammer blow and might well bring the club to a crossroads.

Are you facing a late fitness test for Sunday?😆👍 Thanks, I wish I could still play 😂. Though even BW was a few steps above what I ever was capable of achieving. But I enjoyed it massively. Now just watch and admire.

I agree that Os need to take this game seriously and put out an experienced team. Upsets often happen in the FA cup as they did last night when non league Tamworth shocked League One Huddersfield Town after an own goal by keeper Chris Maxwell gave the National League side a 1-0 win in the FA Cup first round.

I’m sure RW will pick his strongest available XI dennis. We don’t know yet of course whether any late injuries will crop up. I did see a rumour that Jack Currie might not be available as Oxford don’t want him cup tied but whether there is any truth in that I have no idea. As I said in my post above if I were RW I would be leaning heavily on experienced players tomorrow. Boreham Wood are a physical, aggressive outfit and one or two of our younger players might find that difficult imho. Hoping for the best though and a spot in the “ velvet bag” come Sunday tea time!🤞👍

They used to be a very strong side in the National league Quote Wikipedia ''Boreham Wood F.C The 2022–23 season saw them finish sixth in the National League; in the subsequent promotion play-offs, they defeated Barnet 2–1 in the quarter-finals, before losing 3–2 after extra time to Notts County in the semi-finals. The following season they finished fourth-from-bottom of the National League and were relegated to the National League South''

Hopefully that will send a strong message to the O’s tomorrow to be wary of the opposition and be on their game.👍
