Why on earth would you want Southend to win? Are you a fan?

Why on earth would you want Southend to win? Are you a fan? A lot of my mates are and they want the O’s to win when we’re playing. Also spent a lot of time as a teenager on Friday nights watching them, so without doubt my second team .

No shame in losing to Charlton. They beat us too. So much for spirit, goals win matches. redshank they do however, spirit counts for so much. My kids team played the team leading the Echo Premier, they've won every game this season and are the current holders of the London Cup. My team won a superb game of football, 2-1 after being 1 down as well. They have players who are at professional clubs, they were the better side over the 80 mins, but our spirit and determination to not back down and to fight for every ball was enough for us to win. If you have no spirit, you won't win when facing adversity and you won't dig deep and fight when your being outplayed. Goals win games, but sometimes it's your fighting spirit which drags you over the line.

One way traffic, totally outclassed yet they fought hard and with great spirit, only losing to a fortunate goal. Sure they lost but what an effort.
