Can you please review the CEO data on the proportion of monies allocated to the non playing budget and the playing budget, to clarify if we have not employed too many non playing staff and the ratio of expenditure is correct.

Matt, the new sky TV deal doesn't seem so appealing now we are a few months into the new contract. Marshall said we've lost approx £180k of revenue for games moving from a Sat to midweek. The amount of games being shown is in my opinion detrimental to the product as many will stay at home and watch rather than get out and go to the ground.
What's the considered view of the board / game as I'm sure the clubs all talk?

I'm of the opinion our season ticket prices are good value and maybe even a little cheap. However, there appears to be a backlash amongst certain sections of our support concerning the matchday ticket cost. What's the considered view on this? Have we seen a decline in matchday sales verses prior years?

Ling makes contact with agents, sometimes we get a deal, but more often it’s outside our budget and so we go down the list until eventually we sign someone. Might be Richie’s first choice, but more likely 3rd or 4th, such is the money floating around league 1 this season. That’s what we will be told, that is what I believe to be the truth, but some will still see some sort of conspiracy and that Ling alone picks the squad. The board must be bored with all this. |
