My NowTV subscription is allowing me to watch a decent number of league 1 games. What strikes me is this:
Bar the odd spells and the odd player, there isn’t a massive difference between us and many of those way above us in the table. Birmingham and now Wycombe apart the rest are much of a muchness compared with our core squad. Even the ‘tough start’ Charlton and Bolton didn’t look that fantastic against us. Nor did Wrexham or Stockport. Just my view.
So why are we struggling? Depth, style, firepower, mistakes, aggression, inconsistency, passion, combination of these?
Other teams out there demonstrate many of the frailties we show. League 1 definitely is not as good as we were led to believe at the start. In fact it remains much as it was last season despite all the spending.
Frustrating.

Take your pick doh..One dimensional, slow, lacking confidence, tippy tappy from midfield to defence to keeper, then reverse.Slow, sideways, backwards with the odd punt forward from Happe..Teams suss is out easily..Csnt score ftom side plays but concede from set plays!!

Too difficult for 3division players . RW should make the plan simple stupid ,not complicate matters . Also there isn’t a plan B , RW got rid of any big guys up front so who does get in the box for headers . Having no penalty box johnies like Danny Johnson . Loads of other moans so I’ll stop there 😡

We've made too many mistakes which have cost us dealy. We are not a bad team, far from it. I've said many times we will not be relegated and I hope a few more will start believing like I do after today.
The keeper gives confidence to his defence, just like I said in the Brentford game, the defenders are no longer on edge.
Did you notice not one mistake today?

We saw today against a team above up in the league, 5 points at the start, that we are good enough to be much higher in the table. Our players are good enough for damn sure and today I really liked the way we played. It suited our players much better.
3 goals from decent crosses in the box and close range. Top draw. 16 shots, 8 on target, 3 goals. That’s the way to do it. Blackpool had near 60% possession. But when we had the ball we used it better. Ah, magic formula. I'm sure had we spent time dicking about at the back our possession figures would have been better, but the result worse.
So what has been going wrong? Not mistakes, all teams make them. Not passion, not aggression, not all the other stuff. We need to play a style that suits our players ability. Play to our strengths. Today we did. Forget all this bolox about mistakes, budgets, etc. Just play to our strengths. When we do, we are good enough. We are capable of beating anyone in what is a bang average league 1.

Up the O's You've indeed been an inspiration to those of us who have had doubts about form this year. Your belief is impressive and long may it continue. I won't be the only fan breathing a sigh of relief tonight.
