Just watched what must rank as one of the finest matches ever. Littler beating Anderson 16-15 in a game that had it all. 180s, great finishing and the pressure on both at different times. Could have gone either way. Wow.

The final started to look competitive with Littler going 2-0 down. Thereafter it was carnage. Still £70k runner up prize for a qualifier, I’m sure he is well pleased with his weeks work. Littler now reached £1m in prize money. Add that to sponsorship and royalties. Wow.
But I’m really impressed with the breadth of talent in the game. In years gone by the top was dominated by a few great players, Taylor of course for many years and a number of others. But a relatively small group by today’s standards.
TV coverage and crowds make it a good watch.
