As usual, Mark Devlin had his work cut out.
Nigel seemed somewhat more relaxed, it felt like maybe new investment wasn't so far off. He sounded as if he and others were peeved with the player recruitment.
As the transmission chose that moment to buffer I didn't manage to catch who the guy Wang was.

I'm listening now as I'm only working 4 days or less weeks till next year!
Games being moved to Tues - we should have the same amount of Tues night games by the end of the season as we had last season. The difficulty is that they have all been last minute changes and all at once. We've lost £200k so far due to the movements.
Injuries and Insurance - all medical bills are covered by our insurance policy, although the following year we should expect increased premiums if we've had long term injuries for example. Wages are not covered by the policy.
Scouting - we need to improve this area as we could do better.
Recruitment- Martin has been told it's not good enough and we need to improve. That's the first time we've heard this from Nigel. I agree with his comments as we are frequently found wanting in our recruitment in my personal opinion. We need to look at Brentfords model more closely.
New stadium - my interpretation is that we've now exhausted the conversation about extending Brisbane Rd, thank you Barry Hearn you hunt. We've just had a new site open up to us which makes 3 or 4 now potentially viable. They won't say where they are and I'm guessing the new one is outside Waltham forest but within a E postcode as they emphasised staying an E post code club. Still 7/8 years away, but we should book 10 for it to be completed by.
Loans - one of the loans will be signing permanently. I'm guessing that's Currie? I hope it's not Kelman! Some loan players who are not good enough will go back to their parent clubs. Hemmings? One loan players cost us only 25% of his salary costs which shows the value you can have. Or how bad they are at our level and we're wasting money. The last sentence was mine and not the clubs!
Youth Players - we have a wealth of good young players coming through some of whom we expect to make the grade abd replace the need for loan players.
Budget - Marshall was right and we've increased it by 18% on a like for like basis. This puts us 15th in terms of size in the league.
Beer - Someone moaning at the beer in the ground! Asking for Leyton Pilsner, is this even a lager? We will talk to Shepard Neame and see what we can do to introduce different options.
Investment - the process is going well, we have plenty of options and we are looking at 4/5 incoming investors who are the right fit for the club. Nigel has personally put in over £10m of his own money so far. He is confident of getting the investment and the right investment which will allow us to continue moving up the league.
Contracts - players whose contracts are running down have been offered very attractive offers, some have not, I wonder who? No guarantees on anyone staying or going, but we are trying our best to get the players we want signed up to the club.
Behaviours - we have reached out to kick it out for help, support and guidance on how we can improve what we do as a club to drive out that behaviour. We are working with LOFT, her game among others to help change behaviours especially around the east London song.
Gaughan Group - the winding up petition is down to a dispute with a 3rd party which is on going. It will not affect what happens with the club and its not the one that holds the relationship being the holding company verses the Ltd one we deal with.
April Smith is our new SLO, I must have missed that appointment being made. Congratulations to April and good luck.
Coley Parry - Orienteer asked if he is compatible with out values after the Vitesse issue. Nigel says he doesn't have all the facts so it's difficult to comment. The league has asked and got an answer which they were happy with. Coley is still invested and engaged and Nigel suggests we stay out of the Vitesse argument.
East London Song - we've asked the main people who drive the song to come in for a meeting to talk to them and have a friendly or positive conversation on how the words can be changed so people don't feel awkward or uncomfortable when in our ground.
Non match day noise - Devlin is irritated by how this has broken, its unprofessional how that happened and we won't comment until after our hearing. One staff member has been physically threaten by one of the individuals involved. It's not matchdays, it's all to do with private events in the ground. They have moaned about music being played when Spurs women play also.
Jan transfer window - LLoriette asked having spent the budget already what happens in Jan. Says we have a plan in place but that's down to Martin to work through so won't expand any further. Losses should have reduced £300-£400k on the extra revenue raised.
Supports club - want to help drive ways in which to give more money to the club. The club said that they don't want to take control of the club only the stock levels and utilise the space more frequently.
Social media - do the players get advice on how to handle the social media especially the criticism side of things. The youngsters get training on social media as part of the course they are on. First team players dont as such, but they are quite sensible with it. Ruth said social media is toxic, if people feel this, be like me, don't sign up to it and don't go on it. Simple really. I'm sure my life is better for not being on any of it, others should try it and live your life instead of being a slave to your phone etc.
We are trying to link up with fellow American owned clubs to play friendlies abroad, but time is against us right now. We are looking at options now.

I would love to sign Curry on a perm contract, but seeing as he cost Oxford just shy of half a million in the summer, i cant see how we could do that
It'll probably be Charlie

I echo the above. It’s most likely to be Charlie Kelman who is signed permanently I’d have thought. Getting Currie here on a lasting basis would be terrific but seems doubtful to me.

Excellent work Thor, agree with the Hearn quote.Far too much money for us to lose because of the wretched Tuesday night games postponed from a Saturday. The general tone is positive though some through gritted teeth. Can only thank Nigel for his continued input into the club despite the eye watering losses.Pleased that new investment may be coming in,the quicker the better. One wonders how the scouting could be better, other than getting more scouts. That will be Martin Lins worry. One can only mull on who we are in talks with for longer contracts and who has cast envious eyes on those players.Tough business owning a League 1 club with all the money being thrown about.

Didn't realise or know they paid that much for him! Wow. Agreed it won't be him then, Kelman it is! I also wouldn't be concerned if it was Keeley who has attributed himself well so far, but I understand he's on a decent termed contract as well.

Interesting developments to chew on. Seems the club will need to meet the noise moaners half way.example-when spurs ladies are on TV the music noise pre kick off and half time is so loud, the presenters need to shout to be heard. And the flat owners don't want it on a Sunday, especially if we've played the day before there also with loud music. The other items mentioned are positive but need to be implemented

As for the East london song, now't wrong with it, no swearing or rude words, ours is quite tame when ranked along side other clubs. the Namby Pamby Woke people who want the world to follow their stupid ideas

Maybe its finally dropped that we have gaps that need addressing. In scouting we have Steve Foster and that's about it. Peterborough have something like 50 scouts, we need to reflect on what works and how we expand that area on a more modest basis I would have thought. In terms of recruitment we are all familiar with the failures there. Let's hope we make a better fist of the Jan window than we have done with the previous 3 Jan windows, we will shortly see how that plays out. If it's a disaster we surely can't let it continue. What's the solution? Get rid of Martin or give more control to Richie?

If we need more scouts then get rid of useless SLO woman first, that money would be better spent else where
