Ignoring the fact that we have Italian owners, French owners, or owners from round the corner. We've gone big this season and Slade is now on a hiding to nothing.
I love Slade. He's the best manager we've had in my 33 years of supporting and i don't want him to go anywhere.
We've lost one game and were still signing players a week ago, (in my opinion) we didn't have the best pre-season and things have all been a bit up in the air over the last two months.
Give it a month, things will have settled and we'll be fine. If we do get promoted it will be a collective effort, from Lisbie through all the others right down to Scott Kashket.

Spot on MungO.There wont be a team in this Division that wont want to beat us.WE are there to be shot at and our players and management will have to get used to that.As I have said before any result for the next couple of weeks will be a good one.We have to adapt and bring in that"We shall not lose mentality" and forget about the Berty big bollox attitude that some might have adopted, including our lunatic fans saying it would be 5--0 or 4--0 etc.Scraping anything for a while would be good.Chesterfield were and are a good side with proper team spirit.

Wow, it's the first game of the season, I think some people are overreacting!
Yes our performance compared to a pumped up Chesterfield side was not good enough, I don't think we won a second ball all day long. However even playing below par we had chances and came close to getting a point.
With regards to Lisbie, he's still got something to give. He had no help from Mooney and was receiving poor balls from the midfield all afternoon, but yet again anything that did come to his feet stayed there and he rarely gave the ball away. The same can not be said about Simpson, clearly he is still some weeks off being match ready!
I think Henderson must by rubbing his hands together seeing how quickly Jobi and Cox try to get balls into the box, if Mooney doesn't put a shift in next game I can see Henderson taking his place.
Remember we have a very good team this season, Up the O’s
