Just watched them.
1-0 A large hole has appeared in our defence, a very large hole. That was a screw up.
1-1 It went in and great positioning by Darius but the shot wasn't so convincing. Rachubka didn't do well I feel.
1-2 Lovely piece of work by Henderson, was in a good position to receive the ball and made it for Mooney. I thought he'd taken it too wide but Rachubka was obsessed by his near post.....
1-3 Mooney out-muscled and crowded out Rachubka and all but fouled him. That was a keeper's ball but ended up a free one for Lisbie.
There's a theme emerging here.....

You still have to put them in the goal, and get the ball in dangerous positions in the first place. And the statistic of not a single Oldham chance in the second half was encouraging.

Slade's post match interview - He was not at all happy with the defence in the first half and "gifted" oldham a goal. Sounds like he is getting to grips with it and promises improvement. Interesting new owner not there - Maybe he don't do away games - I would if I had put millions into the club but then you don't know what other commitments he had ? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28823219

I don't think Hearn went to many away games anyway. Milanese should have been there in his role though.

Maybe better Milanese not there. I am hoping his role is just as a go between Manager and Owner. I think Slade would prefer it that way with just contact with him once or twice a week to discuss finance etc not football tactics, or team selection etc. Do you think he is feeling a bit of pressure from the new owner?

Maybe these guys are only interested in the marquee events, like the Villa game coming up? Frankly, I don't care, so long as the finance keeps coming.

Sorry Milano my earlier post went a bit off topic, but agree with your original post. I think we owe Rachubka a bit for our result, still a win is a win,but not over excited having watched the highlights.

Milanese still hasn't been officially presented, has he? Conspicuous by his absence anyway. Presumably he's on the payroll though so doubtless he's up to some devilment. Russ is probably happy enough being left alone but at the same time vaguely uneasy because he knows it can't last.
