OK I'll post something...
I sit in the West Stand - true it is probably the slowest to respond to anything doing the rounds but we do try in our way.
Seriously, Preston had a cracker with that song they were belting out most of the match. The secret (I believe) is in hijacking a bloody good tune. The right tune will roll on and on effortlessly and with little help - as theirs did.
It's no surprise that churches nicked battle anthems* and successful folk tunes and re-scripted them as they are successful BECAUSE they are very singable and can therefore be belted out by untrained voices.
I'm no music theorist and I'm sure Mr Lloyd Webber could explain why far better.
We have a few good ones, but really need a team one that can get up the momentum that Preston's did
