Had we been victorious yesterday would we have also drawn Southampton or would we have been a different ball number
I don't quite understand how a club gets it's ball number etc

Yes Orient would have played Soton away. This would probably have netted the club about 200k in revenue so going out was a blow.

I think the balls get put in in a certain order. So we could've drawn anyone. Our ball wouldn't have been in the same place as Yeovil's in the tub.

Ahh. OK. Not sure it is such a blow. Southampton wouldn't have had that many go to the game. I think revenue wise we're looking at an extra £100k, which isn't to be scoffed at, but hardly a blow seeing as we already have a bit of cash for this January. If we'd drawn an Anfield then I'd be feeling differently about it.

You are right just by winning on Saturday would have given us money then a share of the gate receipts against Southampton would have come in very handy.

150k+ is a lot of money to be lost considering its for winning 1 game of football..

Agree that winning would've been beneficial. But it was always fairly unlikely against a physically strong Yeovil side. I don't consider it a huge blow though.

If we had a strong team out i would have fancied us to have won the game however with that side out your right it was unlikely but i still think it is a slight blow. Oh well up the O's promotion is the main aim!
