I was told at half time today that Jay Simpson was unhappy about being left on the bench last week and has submitted a transfer request to the club. For those who did'nt go today, he was left out altogether.

Don't blame Edwards for leaving him out, he was probably going to leave anyway but I don't blame Simpson either for wanting to better himself. Good luck to him.

Unlikely to better himself if he keeps displaying the form and attitude he has for all but half a season of the 2 and a bit years he's been with us in my opinion. I certainly don't blame Edwards for dropping him , it was overdue I think.

Good player but there's always been this doubt about his commitment.

Not seen many games this season so happy to be corrected, but isn't his poor form due in large part to woeful service & being heavily marked rather than a poor attitude?
He's the type of striker who everyone loves when he's knocking them in, but when he isn't he's called greedy or lazy.
That said, maybe a move would be best for Simpson and Orient

Look at Mike Collins in the midfield his attitude is brilliant desperate to be involved always looking for the ball. need to find a gem because sadly Mcallum, Palmer don't score enough goals and Dalby is just a kid.

Great season last season but if he doesn't want to be here then let him go and get a bit of money for him.

Palmers goal was lucky , believe me Simmo will be missed when the goals dry up , we need a decent striker...SOON . Ron- Simpson's goals have already dried up and his attitude stinks. The bloke has not performed for the club except for the first half of last season when I admit his scoring record was top class. He is in the same category as McAnuff, Lowry , Henderson etc - an expensive misfit. Agree we need a replacement though as neither McCallum, Bowery or Palmer would seem to be the answer. Let's hope that AE can sort something out in the coming month.
