Just like last week Simpson is coming out as the fall guy in a defeat.
Is he that bad or are Orient not playing to his strengths just yet. Don't forget he was decent against Carlisle.

As stated in another thread , take mooney off and sure up midfield with Bartley or ness might have done the trick, easy to say now thou

Some players fit certain clubs and some don't. Some players just aren't good enough.
Simpson is a good player, but just like Cureton, it doesn't seem like Orient is the right fit for him. We can persist, but i don't think that'd do much for his or the teams confidence.
He definitely does not fall into the category of the Calvin Andrew's & Scowcroft's of this World. They were crap.

I don't think people are blaming yesterdays defeat on Simpson, it is more like they are wondering why he came on and not a midfielder to see out the game.

Something could be said that he cost us the game. He conceded the free-kick which led to the equaliser with a needless foul from behind. The only other time I remember him touching the ball was when he passed the ball out of play when he could have played Lisbie in. I think he's getting played as he's a 'nice guy' as opposed to a good footballer. He didn't win any headers and the ball just bounces off him. He's not up to scratch. That said apart from Mooney (winning headers all game) we were s***e and deserved to lose.
