whatever happened to being able to sit where you wanted to when going to a match, and being able to sit with friends ,without the need to book in advance to get a designated seat.

Pedantic arseholes decided they'd turn up early to insist they sit in the seat numbered on their ticket, despite the opportunity to be nice to a fellow O's fan.

no not really mungo friends cant always sit together. my point being ,its ok if your not a season ticket holder and say a few of yous go together that's no problem ,you can buy your tickets to sit together, but not all fans can afford to buy a season ticket with a designated seat to sit with friends, so go when they can afford to,and end up sitting say in the same stand but quite a bit away from there friends,it didn't used to be this way,as season ticket holders we used to sit wherever with our friends, but now you cant just sit anywhere, without people moaning, personally I know of quite a few people who don't go now for this reason .

I suppose it's the rise of the season ticket that causes this. You start to think of your seat as almost literally belonging to you. This is a problem that never occurs in standing areas, of course.

perhaps the club should bring that back into debate both standing areas, and being able to sit where you want to in seating areas ,

Everyone sits where they want don't they? We sit where we like, we sit where we like, we're Leyton Orient, we sit where we like. Sung at Peterborough.

Always plenty of spaces in the South Stand. Can't understand when I see people arguing over some seats when there are empty ones all around.
As long as nobody takes my seat mind - I like it very much.

Well that's why I am in the back row leytonorienbob. I once sat further down, stood to cheer a corner or something and some moany old git (Lexi O?) started berating me for ruining the match for him. I was sorely tempted to give him what for but he had some scary looking skinhead blokes around him.
I like the back , I can stand and cheer or sarcastically applaud Jalwal when actually manages to catch the football...
