The "other" board seem to think that Coventry have made a bid for Myles, fee rumoured to be a paltry £25k.

Seems a bit low. Didn't he just sign a contract?

It wouldn't surprise me if that info was right, but I don't think we're in to sell at anywhere near that price.

We now have three right backs, Turley I suspect is going to be 1st choice and Justin went out of his way to convince the club to buy Ling. So whilst I rate Judd over Ling, Judd isn't going to get any game time barring injuries, so with apparently Coventry coming in for him, the club have been decent enough to not stand in the way of him progressing his career.

I've never understood the hero worship of Judd. Yes he's one of our own & he gives his all, but other than that he hasn't really got a lot. Back in the dark days when we had to play all the boys. He wasn't regarded like a Semedo, Koroma, Alzate, Dalby or Abrahams. Happe has since come on out of his group & shown real class. If RE continues with wing Backs you certainly wouldn't want him playing 46 games as one. As a Right Back he isn't close to previous O's like Fisher, Hughton, Howard, Cuthbert or even Mark Warren

Toss of a coin for me between Judd and Ling. Not much between them.
I suppose the fact that Judd is younger makes him appear the more precious asset and probably why there is interest in him but not in Ling (major assumption) there.
With both their injury records I would've thought it more prudent to keep them both. And Turley.

Thought he was a bit older than just turning 20.
Still got time to turn into a very good right back.
£25k seems low.

Yes, I don't know what's more depressing - deliberately creating negativity at every conceivable opportunity, or genuinely having such a negative outlook.

To have Judd, Ling and Turley covering generally the same place seems a bit expensive. Perhaps Turley has more strings to his bow than just RB?

The club can't win with some fans on social media. Just in the last month we've had new players slagged off before they've even kicked a ball. Use of the word Interim criticised, the new kit moaned at & the accusation that the owners are unambitious & want to cut their losses. I'm just glad apart from the odd remark this is a much friendlier place.

I'm definitely in the pro-Judd camp! Turley would be my first choice at the moment, but I believe Judd has the potential to hold his own as a right back in at least one league higher than League 2.
As MungO said, he is still very young. Despite his slight build he is physical/aggressive in a good way. Some players take longer to blossom than others. He was traumatised by the last year of the clown's ownership (weren't we all!) and subsequently being in-then-out of the team, injuries, and some mild fan criticism when added together doesn't make it easy to regain confidence. Lets not forget that during that season and the impossible circumstances he had to endure, he won some sort of L2 Apprentice of the Year award.
I can't see any reason why we would sell for such a paltry sum (if the £25k figure is close to correct). I can't believe that his wages are sufficiently high for that to be a factor either

I personally think Judd is the better if the two ( not by much but just about) but the accusations of nepotism that have been made by some on the other board against Ling Snr would be laughable if not so stupid! l would keep both anyway- Turley seems better suited to centre back imho.

Rather than look at it as 3 right backs is one too many, I would argue that we’ve got only 8 defenders when we may be routinely playing 5 at the back.
2 injuries and we start to look worryingly light on numbers. The current personnel give us flexibility. Turley and Widdowson can play in the centre. Ling can play at LB. Dayton and Brophy can play wing back. So what we’ve got gives us plenty of flexibility.
