I am going for one of the current players signs a contract extension, Clarke ?
Or Slade signs new deal, how long does he have left on his current contract ?

Best realistic news would be
a) new contracts for all of our first team and Russ
b) good news regarding Alnwick, Batt and Jones.
c) new left back
d) a huge amount of compensation from the olympic stadium

The Journo Cottle is the only one building this "news" up. I have a feeling we it will be OK but not headline news. It cannot be a new signing as the window is closed, possibly another loan player or end of season sale in club shop.
