Did anyone see the dive by Jovetic? Possibly the worst and most hilarious attempt at diving I have ever seen, even the ref saw it!  |

Yeah. Bottom line he is a cheat. Cheats should not play in my opinion Red Card. That perhaps would stop some of the penalty appeals.

I am not against diving myself. I think it is up to the referee to spot these things - the players just do anything they can to win the game.
I even admire Maradonna!

Diving is not cheating though.
It is gameplay and that is why there is a referee in football matches.

But if a player dives he is trying for a penalty, or maybe free kick, that the team should not get by the rules of the game. . If he gets a penalty / free kick by this "trick"for the team , which they were not entitled by this false pretence in my opinion that is cheating.
what is "gameplay"?

Gameplay = the art of making the referee give you decisions.
If someone dives and the ref doesn't punish them then the ref should be at fault and banned and not the player.
In my opinion anyway, but most in this country probably don't agree.

It's not gameplay it's an unacceptable thing that has crept into our game and the sooner the FA give refs more power to brandish red cards the better We have our own version at Orient in Romain Vincelot spends a lot of time on his ass in my humble opinion with the consequences so far being a ban and a winning goal for Peterborough |

Chelsea's attitude for that match was shown by the players' laughing and joking after the final whistle.
It's arrogant but Chelsea could care less about the FA Cup this season. Wigan have it in the bag.
