The question was asked on the official site ''was there ever a horse called Leyton orient''. The answer is yes. In the late 50s , early 60s, there was a hunter chaser of that name who was along with the horses Freddie and Baulking Green were virtually unbeatable. They were the top 3 hunter chasers of that era and nearly always started odds on , with each of them including the mighty Os running up winning sequences in excess of 10 consecutive victories.

I knew it!!!!!! It was me asking but from an atom of a memory cell still lurking about in the bilges of my brain. I have this vague recollection of watching Grandstand whilst waiting for the bike scrambling to come on, it was necessary to wade through a couple of hours of the most humdrum horse racing coverage because it was never clear as to when it would stop and give way to something watchable. This was probably before my first visit to the Os so it didn't really make much of a mark at the time. I wonder who owned this horse and what their connection was to LOFC.

I thought this was about what kind of horse Orient would be if Mourinho or Brendan Rodgers was the manager.
