Marv has potential. Other, bigger L2 clubs will show an interest especially as he is out of contract. Maybe even lower League one teams. Not much of a risk.
But he may well stay, his agent hanging on for a good deal. And the chance of regular first team football. He is ours to lose. Gutted if he goes.

Keep. Ross must decide if he wants a back 3 or 4. Feel he'll benefit from a settled system.

Keep, Marv reads the game well and also comfortable on the ball. His major flaw though is can lose consentration towards the end of games.

I’d like to keep Ekpiteta if it’s possible. Although he hasn’t made the strides I initially expected of him, he is still relatively young and Inexperienced and he has the potential to nail down a centre back slot.

It wouldn't surprise me if RE was into psychology text books that is. I'm sure he has a text book on improving concentration. Perhaps he could set Marv a task of bedtime reading of said book. Then once read give him a test on aspects to improve concentration.

Give Marvin a good contract and a decent sell on amount. One of those players we miss when he is not in the team.

Give Marvin a good contract and a decent sell on amount. One of those players we miss when he is not in the team. We do miss him. The best pairing at the back for me is Marvin and Dan. Good combo, tall, young and hopefully fit most of the time. With Josh Coulson able to cover. I’d play Turley at RB and Joe W at LB. with Ling and Brophy able to cove the LB/RB roles and Turley able to cover for Marv/Happe to there is some resilience for the inevitable absences. for me that is a strong defensive unit and with attacking ability from set plays. marv does get stuff wrong but he is still learning as is Happe. Take Marv out of the equation and it’s not as good. ive just realised I’m assuming a back 4. Silly me. Who knows what the formation will be.

Very good player. It was a toss up between him and someone else on my Core 5 thread. He could be going places, but not yet I hope.

Definitely keep as it would benefit both parties. He's a quality player for us and after a rocky start has adapted to L2 football. Personally I don't think this is the right time another step up and he'd be better off staying with us for a further one or two seasons.

Keep, but think his agent will want him to move on. Have to agree with this, unfortunately. Really like Marvin, even if sometimes he looks like bambi on ice, but that is to be expected, still on a learning curve, especially at this level. Injuries have obviously hampered his progress and probably struggled to hit the heights of last season, but has to be remembered, up a level and all new to him. In all honesty, don't think he is ready for league one, at this moment in time, but definitely has the ability and potential, to get at least there. Not sure if the alledged interest from Rotherham, was it, has turned Marvin's head a bit, but one thing is for sure, it won't have been lost on his agent, in contract negotiations.

100% try too keep him and Turley would be my first choice centre half’s when both fit.
