I’ve watched all the James Bond films on Blu-ray, about 24’ish. Very Alan Partridge. My recommendation is ‘What we do in the shadows’ on iPlayer. In my opinion the funniest comedy in years.

I'm a sucker for a WW1 drama so I've just watched Paths of Glory for the umpteenth time. My only criticism is Kirk Douglas doesn't do a great French accent. Also just watched the Netflix mini series Unorthodox. Highly recommended. Now I'm at a loose end and looking for recommendations. I suppose I could watch All Quiet on the Western Front again...

I think you could watch that Sebastian Faulks thing. It is set in WW1.

Just finished watching the Thin Blue Line on Amazon. Can't believe it was made 25 years ago. Some of the dialogue classic stuff probably wouldn't get passed the censor today.

I have been following the Talking Pictures TV re- runs of “ Public Eye”. Obviously it looks a bit dated in parts now but still a very well written show with good storylines and the Frank Marker character is portrayed superbly by Alfred Burke.

View AttachmentI liked the series, but for unknown reasons I did not like Alfred Burke. Often watch Budgie, at times it is very funny, with some good outside scenes of those long gone days.Calllan was also a favourite.

Watching sailing is so relaxing.I love watching the Americas cup.Not an expert, but aren't they reverting to mono hulls the next time, again not sure,in New Zealand. Do you sail yourself maylandOs. I always thought your username was marylandOs as maryland station is so local,a sort of word blindness I suppose.Saw the name so many times when I used to sit in the traffic jams through Stratford.

Watching the Eurovision film with Will Ferrell in it.
It's a fun watch without really having to watch it.

The Human Centipede films are good for a laugh. Treat them as dark, very dark black comedies and try not to throw up.

Tried to watch in the past but 🤮🤢 I can't watch films like Saw where people are helpless and there is a lot of gore. It disturbs me. Slasher films I'm ok with, just not where people are helpless. Even the scene in Reservoir Dogs where he cuts his ear off gets to me.

Even the scene in Reservoir Dogs where he cuts his ear off gets to me. It was my ex who introduced me to the delights of the Centipdede films. We used to cuddle up on the sofa and she whispered all of her torture fantasies into my ear. Mostly involving what she wanted to do with my body. We had a safe word though. If I said ‘David Mooney’ I’d be saved from the saw. Bizarrely she was a vegan who would cry her eyes out an abandoned puppy but relish humans being chopped up. And Scottish.
