A couple of weeks ago I went to see Borrusia Dortmund. If anyone is thinking of going to Germany to watch a game I would certainly recommend it.
A fantastic atmosphere, unlike many premier league grounds, although they were a little disappointed with the size of the crowd, just 80,000.
probably the biggest highlight for me was about 20 minutes before kick off when nearly all the crowd sang "you'll never walk alone", especially behind one one goals, which is a standing area that holds about 25,000, which was a sea of yellow.
They also let you drink alcohol and smoke in the ground which was a bonus.

I must say going to watch Malta v Italy in Malta last year was something else, proper old school, drinking smoking and no reserved seating and toilets that wouldn't look outa place in a homeless shelter, top atmosphere though,

I remember reading an article about some disillusioned Arsenal fans fed up with the ticket prices. They got together and started following RC Lens in France instead. Even taking the petrol and channel tunnel price into consideration (car share) they were still quids in. Not to mention a stop off for a booze top up on the way home, so an added bonus. Lens is only an hour from Calais.
For those who live in the South East following a top flight team in Europe at a lower price could be a prospect.

Boulogne is near enough with the added advantage of seeing Jonathan Tehoue play if he is fit.

I watched Rijeka a few weeks ago and enjoyed the madness and vibrancy of the place. The noise from a 7,000 crowd was immense although the health-and-safety people would've had nightmares at the hundred or so flares in the stands. All a bit passionate in a "not English" kind of way.

That's a shocking indictment on the state of things, some clubs should be ashamed of the elitism they are creating.
